Privacy
Short version: we don't store your results, and we don't want to.
What happens when you run a test
Your browser downloads and uploads test data directly to Cloudflare's measurement endpoints (speed.cloudflare.com). Results are calculated in your browser. Speedtesty has no database and never receives your results.
What we see
To show "Your provider" and "Server" on the results page, your browser asks our edge function for the network information Cloudflare already attaches to every request (IP address, network name, nearest data centre). We return it to you and do not log it.
Packet loss test
The packet-loss measurement sends small packets through a Cloudflare TURN relay using a short-lived credential generated by our edge function. The credential expires within minutes and identifies no person.
Cookies and trackers
None. The only thing stored on your device is your light/dark preference in localStorage, if you change it.
Third parties
Cloudflare, Inc. operates the servers that answer the measurement requests. Their handling of that traffic is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts are served from Fontshare.
